The Race Relations Forum meets every month on a varied schedule to be more accessable.

Holiday Celebration - Sunday, December 18th from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at 621 West Houston Street #2 in Tyler. This is a casual come and go. Feel free to bring a dish or finger food of your choice to share.

Breakfast Meetings at 7:45am

  • January 12, 2012 - The Corner Bakery at 7:30am. MLK Celebration planning meeting.
  • January 5, 2012 - The Corner Bakery at 7:30am. MLK Celebration planning meeting.
  • December 6 - The Corner Bakery at 7:30am. MLK Celebration planning meeting.
  • July 14 - Mama's Restaurant at 2105 East Fifth Street in Tyler.
  • October 13 - Hard to believe that we are beginning the final quarter of 2011! Tomorrow morning TTRRF members will begin gathering at "The Egg and I," 150 E. Ninth Street, at 7:30am, to discuss exciting progress on the MLK Day downtown events and the possibilities of hosting an "Undoing Racism" seminar here in Tyler in December. If you are a board member or officer of TTRRF, please make every effort to be present. This is our last breakfast meeting of the year; hope to see you there!
  • November 10 - The Egg and I at 7:30. This extra meeting is scheduled to discuss details for the MLK Day celebrations in January.

Lunch Meetings at 11:45am

  • May 12 - Tentatively scheduled at Posadas at 2500 E. Fifth Street.
  • August 11 - Hickory Fare BBQ, 1717 West Gentry Parkway. We will meet at 11:45am. Be ready to share ideas about the MLK Day Downtown Celebration and thoughts about upcoming workshops. See you there!

Evening Meetings at 6:30pm

  • June 9 - "The Most Segregated Hour in America" panel discussion. (Namaste Bombay Indian restaurant, 713 WSW Loop 323 (just west of Eyemasters off Brookside Drive.)
  • September 23 - "Movie Night "The Canyon" Please plan to come to my home, 818 Beth, Tyler, 6:30pm, for popcorn, etc. See you next week!
